The results are in, and the Richland County Foundation has announced that the 2019 Richland Gives campaign was a success.

Over $316,000 was raised by almost 800 donors through the campaign, which culminated on Giving Tuesday, December 3.

After all donations and additional grant prize money was tabulated, the Lucas Community Center was the nonprofit that raised the most money, a little over $30,000. The Lucas Community Center is the only such facility serving Lucas and the surrounding area; it is staffed by volunteers and their goal with funds received through Richland Gives was to raise $20,000 so they could hire an administrator to coordinate projects to assist the community.

Overall, Richland Gives funds were raised for approximately 90 nonprofits in Richland County.

The Richland County Foundation utilizes an online platform to make giving donations simple and fast, and the success of this local fundraising campaign shows how much Richland County citizens care about their community.
