Did you know that you can now borrow a Kindle Fire with your Mansfield/Richland County Public Library library card?

Rental periods are for two weeks, and on the Fire you can read the eBook or eBooks of your choice – either ones pre-loaded on the device or those which can be downloaded from the Library eBook App. Six categories of eBooks come pre-loaded on the Kindle Fires from the MRCPL – Romance, Teen, Mystery & Suspense, SciFi/Fantasty/Horror, and “Clean Reads.”

This program is only available to library patrons aged 18 and older. A valid library card is required, plus another form of ID (military, drivers license, state ID). A borrow agreement must also be excuted.

Kinidle Fires can be put on hold and, if no holds are in place, can be renewed for an additional period. A $2.00 per day fine will be charged for late returns, and various replacement costs will also be applicable (for the device, cord, adaptor, case, and cover). Total replacement cost is $140.
