Twenty-Second Year For Operation Clean Sweep

The City of Mansfield has announced that the City and Downtown Mansfield Inc., have declared Tuesday, May 15 as Operation Clean Sweep in support of Earth Stewardship Month and the Great American Clean Up.

Volunteers, local business people, and organizations are being asked to don their work clothes and meet at the Gazebo in Central Park (near the Gazebo) between 4:45 PM and 5:00 PM. to “Plant Pride, Not Litter.” More…

Schedule Announced For Final Friday Concerts

For the eleventh consecutive year, the last Friday of each month, May through September, will bring music, food, and more to downtown Mansfield.

From the initial offerings in 2007 that saw a few dozen attendees, the Downtown Mansfield, Inc. hosted Final Friday concerts have grown to attract thousands of music lovers. Some locally-based 15 performers will take the stage at The Brickyard in the Carrousel District this summer. More…

First Friday Shop Hop Tomorrow

Downtown Mansfield is the place to be on the first Friday evening of each month, and April is no exception. Beginning at 5:00 PM, bring family and friends to visit dozens of downtown businesses that provide entertainment, offer specials and sales, and host unique events that you cannot find in any shopping center – all in the middle of a traditional downtown setting.

The First Friday Shop Hop is hosted by Downtown Mansfield, Inc., whose mission is “to stimulate economic development, improve the appearance and create a positive image of the downtown as a desirable place to work, live, shop and invest.” More…

Mansfield Receives First State Historic Tax Credit Awards

On Tuesday morning, something happened for the first time in Richland County – local projects were awarded tax credits under the Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credit program.

In an announcement made at the headquarters of Downtown Mansfield, Inc. on North Main Street, officials of the Ohio Development Services Agency announced awarded $28,370,452 to projects to rehabilitate 22 historic buildings in 11 communities. The projects are expected to lead to approximately $165,386,833 in private investment. The awards include projects in three communities (Amherst, Cleveland Heights, and Mansfield) that are receiving an Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credit for the first time. More…

On Saturday afternoon, hundreds of visitors to downtown Mansfield could be seen walking up and down Fourth Street, North Main, and Park Avenue West; clutching red, white, and blue tickets; and looking for clusters of balloons.
