The Mansfield Symphony has announced the five finalists chosen to perform as guest artists on the upcoming “Bach to Rock®” Concert. Those finalists are: Madi and Ana Heichel, singing “Creep;” Thomas Clark, singing “Why Should I Cry For You;” Ellie Nickoli, singing “Journey to the Past;” Karen Clifton, singing “Alone;” and Isabelle Thoman, singing “Lost Boy.”

Each performer submitted a video of themselves for online voting as a part of the Mansfield Symphony’s Bach to Rock® Singing Contest during the last quarter of 2017. The top five videos each garnered around 700 votes before the contest ended on December 31st.  There were sixteen submissions in total. From the top ten vote earners, the top five were selected to perform on the March concert.

At the March event, the singers will each perform an arrangement of their song along with the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra. Audience members will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite performers at the event and the winner will be invited to perform again as a guest artist on the 2018-2019 OhioHealth Symphony Series.

In addition to the pop and rock music performed by the guest artists, the program will also feature several pieces from the classical music repertoire. Music Director Octavio Más-Arocas will conduct.

The Mansfield Symphony Orchestra’s Bach to Rock® concert will take place on March 24 at 8 PM at the Renaissance Theatre as a part of the OhioHealth Symphony Series. Tickets are on sale now starting at $15 online, via phone and at the Box Office. Student tickets are $10 and available by visiting or calling the Box Office. A limited number of $50 Family Four Packs are available for this concert by visiting or calling the Box Office. The concert is presented by Donna Siebert. Additional sponsorship comes from  Schmidt Security Pro.
