Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc. is expanding its network by adding nine service centers in new and existing markets.
The steady growth brings the Company’s service center count to 245 and solidifies Old Dominion’s presence across the continental United States. The less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier’s new or improved facilities include sites in Mansfield, as well as in Brooklyn, N.Y., Edinburgh, Ind., Grand Island, Neb., Louisville, Ky., McDonough, Ga., Mesa, Ariz., Milton, Pa. and Olympia, Wash.

In an announcement sent out to markets across the country on Thursday, e-commerce company Carvana shared that it is bringing its online, next-day delivery automobile purchasing service to an additional 100 communities.
Those newly served communities include Mansfield, as well as Lima and Springfield.
The way it works is this. Prospective car buyers use the Carvana website to choose a vehicle, which is then brought to them via a “touchless home delivery.” More…
A ribbon-cutting was held on Tuesday morning at Shaw & Ott Medical, as the family-owned business celebrated the expansion of its showroom on Lexington Avenue in Mansfield. About 50 years ago they evolved from the original corner pharmacy into a home health care business, and now the new showroom space will give Shaw & Ott a better opportunity to showcase the products and home modifications it offers. There was good news for the Mansfield economy today, as a local project was among those which received job creation tax credits from the State of Ohio.
The Governor’s office announced the awards, which represented eight projects set to create 3,792 new jobs and retain 459 jobs statewide. During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners. Collectively, the projects are expected to result in more than $115 million in new payroll, and spur more than $377 million in investments across Ohio. More…
