By 1812Blockhouse — There is exciting news this week in higher education in Ohio, and Richland County is a part of it! North Central State College .is a part of a new consortium that will connect 14 independent colleges and universities and 10 community colleges in Ohio to maximize opportunities for community college students to obtain four year degrees in at least three subject areas — English, psychology, and biology.. Fueled by a grant from the Teagle Foundation and Arthur Vining Davis Foundations, the “Ohio Consortium for Transfer Pathways to the Liberal Arts” will have that as its primary aim — creating a route for seamless educational experiences for students seeking a bachelor’s degree. The effort is based on a similar program in North Carolina.
