A sure herald of winter took place this week in one corner of Richland County.
The crew at Snow Trails turned on the snowmaking machines!
The 62nd season of seasonal fun at Ohio’s best ski resort is right around the corner. Recent colder temperatures have made it possible to begin the process of establishing a base of snow at the resort.
Usually, Snow Trails opens sometime in December. What is certain is that is that an extended period of 29 degree or below temperatures is needed to finish the needed base of snow.
That shared, the Ski Shop is now open and the live Snow Cams have been activated (and can be viewed here).
This Saturday brings the Pre-Season Party and Fireworks at Snow Trails. Doors open at 7:00 PM. Featured will be a food trailer, the Snowflake Loft Bar, fireworks, and music from The Thirsty Travelers.
