The arrival of May signals the launch of summer hours for many Richland County attractions. That is certainly true at Malabar Farm State Park, where visitors can experience a working farm, exhibits, and a house filled with history.
These are the 2023 Summer Hours at Malabar Farm:
Farm Tours (May – October)
- Duration: 45 to 60 minutes
- Transportation: Wagons for larger groups, golf carts for 4 or fewer
- Weather permitting
- Cost:
- Adults & Youth: $3
- Seniors: $2.70
- Children 5 and under: Free
- Dates/Times:
- May 1 – Memorial Day: Tue-Sun, 12:30pm & 3:30pm
- Memorial Day – Labor Day: Daily, 12:30pm & 3:30pm
- Labor Day – October 31: Tue-Sun, 12:30pm & 3:30pm
- Note: In October, farm tours are replaced by scenic hay rides
Big House Tours (April – December)
- Duration: 75 to 90 minutes
- Not recommended for small children
- Cost:
- Adults: $6
- Seniors: $5.40
- Youth: $4
- Children 5 and under: Free
- Dates/Times:
- April: Sat-Sun, 11am & 2pm (most weekends, call ahead)
- May 1 – Memorial Day: Tue-Sun, 11am & 2pm
- Memorial Day – Labor Day: Sun-Thu, 11am & 2pm; Fri-Sat, 11am, 2pm & 4:30pm
- Labor Day – October 31: Tue-Sun, 11am & 2pm
- November & December: Sat-Sun, 11am & 2pm (most weekends, call ahead)
- Closed: December 24, 25, 31, and January through March
Louis Bromfield Visitor Education Center
- Exhibits: Agriculture, wildlife, energy, conservation, recycling, and literature
- Interactive displays
