Recent winter storms did exactly what skiers hope they would do. They tracked cleanly across north central Ohio, dropped generous natural snow, and left behind the kind of cold air that preserves every inch of it. That combination has Snow Trails in rare mid-season form.
As of this report, every lift is running. Every trail is open. All terrain parks are active. The tubing park is open. The base ranges from 28 inches to 52 inches, built from both natural and machine-made snow and now packed into a well-groomed, fast surface by a grooming crew that has been working around the clock.
In short, conditions are about as good as they get in Ohio.
What that means on the slopes
With 21 of 21 trails open, skiers and riders have the full mountain available. That includes everything from learning terrain to advanced lines, glades, moguls, and terrain parks.
Glade skiing is open in multiple areas, including Mt. Mansfield Glade, Upper Glade, and Rustler Glade. Moguls are set. Terrain park features are fully built out across five parks, including The Woods Terrain Park, Alpine Terrain Park, Progression Park, and the Rustler Jump Line. For beginners, the First-Timers Ramp, Bunny slope, carpets, and learning areas are all operating. For experienced skiers, runs like Outer Limits, Silver Bullet, Competition, The Chute, and West Woods are all available with a deep, consistent base.
Tubing lanes are also open, making this a strong weekend option for families who want snow fun without skis.
Lifts, parks, and full operations
All 11 lifts are running, including the Mt. Mansfield Triple and Double, Alpine Triple, Silver Triple, West Woods Triple, rope tows, and carpets. There are no terrain limitations in place. This is a full-mountain day, not a partial one.
Important: no walk-ups
Through the end of February, lift tickets and tubing tickets must be booked online in advance. Walk-up purchases are not available. If you are planning a visit, reserve before you arrive. That requirement is the only thing standing between you and a near-perfect Ohio ski day.
Why this moment matters
Ohio skiing depends on timing. When natural snow arrives, temperatures stay cold, and grooming locks it all in, the window for exceptional conditions can be short but memorable. Right now, that window is wide open in Mansfield.
If you have been waiting for “the weekend” to go skiing this winter, this is it.
