On Friday at 10:31 PM, the METRICH Enforcement Unit, assisted by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at 1813 Richard Drive. The search warrant was signed by the Honorable Judge Ardis, and was the result of a short term investigation in response to several overdoses that have occurred in the Mansfield and Madison Township area. Fentanyl is the suspected cause of the overdoses. Prior to executing the search warrant, METRICH detectives arrest Michael Bolden at an address on Armstrong Avenue in the City of Mansfield. He was charged with two (2) counts of Drug Trafficking.

As a result of the search warrant at 1813 Richard Drive, METRICH detectives executed two (2) more search warrants on a vehicle and storage unit associated with Michael Bolden. Overall, METRICH detectives seized suspected counterfeit currency and over $3,600 in US currency. Detectives will continue to follow up leads n the fentanyl overdose cases and further charges may be forwarded to the Richland County Prosecutor’s Office for review.

This successful investigation is a result of collaborating between the Richland County Sheriff’s Office and the METRICH Enforcement Unit working together with the same goal of removing drugs and weapons from the streets of Richland County, Ohio.
