The Mansfield Men’s Garden Club (MMGC) is once again opening its doors for nominations for its esteemed Annual Beautification Awards. These awards celebrate the efforts of both residential and commercial properties in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the Mansfield community and the broader Richland County area.

How to Nominate

If you know a garden or landscape that deserves recognition for its beauty and contribution to the community, you can nominate them through several convenient methods. Contact Rob Nalley at 419-496-3003 or via email at [email protected], or reach out to Ed Pickens at 419-564-0912 or [email protected]. Additionally, nominations can be submitted online at mansfieldmensgardenclub.com. The deadline for nominations is July 26, so make sure to submit your entries on time.

Criteria for Selection

The MMGC Beautification Awards are judged based on several key elements that contribute to the overall visual appeal and health of a garden or landscape. These include lawn care, use of annuals and perennials, shrubs, and trees, the attractiveness of the front entrance, and innovative use of planters and containers. Both residential and commercial properties can be nominated, encouraging a wide range of participants to showcase their green thumbs and creative landscaping.

The winners will be honored at the prestigious MMGC Beautification Awards Dinner, held on September 3 in the Kingwood Center Gardens King Ballroom. This event not only highlights the winning gardens but also serves as a gathering for community members who share a passion for gardening and beautification.
