ODOT District Three has released its weekly report highlighting road construction projects which are beginning or underway in the multi-county area it serves. What follows are posted projects taking place within Ashland, Crawford, and Richland Counties.

Please stay safe and pay attention to these closures and work taking place during the week beginning on April 26.

ASHLAND COUNTY

State Route 3
SR 3, from the Village of Loudonville to the City of Wooster, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete in September. 

Interstate 71
I-71, just south of the US 250 interchange, will have daytime shoulder closures only as needed to complete culvert repairs. The project is expected to be complete in October.

CRAWFORD COUNTY

State Route 4
State Route 4, at the intersection of SR 4 and Irving Street, will be reduced to one lane for signal work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete in May; however, all work is weather dependent and is subject to change. 

State Route 19
SR 19, from Evans Avenue to the City of Bucyrus corporation limits, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete in July.

State Route 19: Resurfacing ***UPDATE***
SR 19, from Carey Road (CR 27) to SR 4, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. The contractor will begin milling on Monday, April 27. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete in September, however all work is weather dependent and is subject to change. 

US Route 30
US 30 eastbound and westbound, from just east of SR 98 to Old Lincoln Way, will have single lane closures for bridge sealing work on structures on/over US 30. The project is expected to be complete in August. 

State Route 97
SR 97, between Millsboro Road to the Morrow County line, will be reduced to one lane for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete in July. 

State Route 309/61 – City of Galion
SR 309/61 in the City of Galion, between N. East St. and Gelsanliter Rd., is closed for the City’s sanitary sewer project. The detour route for southbound motorists is SR 309/61 (Charles St.) to Gelsanliter Rd., south on Gelsanliter Rd. to SR 97 (Harding Way), west on SR 97 to SR 309/61 (N. East St.), and reverse for northbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen on Monday, May 11. For more information contact the City of Galion Service Department at 419-468-2818.

RICHLAND COUNTY
State Route 13
SR 13 in the Village of Bellville, between SR 97 and Ogle Street, will be reduced to one lane of traffic for a bridge repair project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. The project is expected to be complete in August. 

US Route 30 Westbound Exit Ramp
The US 30 westbound exit ramp to SR 39 northbound is closed at night from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. ONLY to complete relocation work. The detour route for motorists headed to SR 39 northbound will continue on US 30 westbound to the Trimble Road exit, turn left onto Trimble Road and re-enter US 30 eastbound, then take the US 30 eastbound exit ramp to SR 39. The ramp is scheduled to reopen on Friday, May 1. 

US Route 30: Minor Rehabilitation
US 30, from 4th Street to SR 309, will have shoulder closures in both the eastbound and westbound directions for bridge pier work. Crews continue concrete work on bridge piers. The project is expected to be complete in August. 

US Route 42 ***UPDATE***
US 42, from Fox Road to the City of Mansfield corporation limit, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Work will tentatively begin Monday, April 27. Sidewalk and curb ramp work is tentatively scheduled to begin within the Village of Lexington on Tuesday, April 28. Traffic will be maintained by periodic flagging operations as needed. The project is expected to be complete in July, however all work is weather dependent and is subject to change.

US Route 42: Resurfacing ***NEW***
US 42, from the City of Mansfield corporation limits to the Ashland County line, will have single lane closures for a resurfacing project. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers. Crews will begin work on catch basins, corrective pavement work, and pavement markings the week of April 27. The project is expected to be complete in June. 

Interstate 71
I-71 northbound and southbound, from the Morrow County line to SR 97, will have single lane, day time closures and double lane, night time closures for a resurfacing project. Crews continue night work on I-71 from the Morrow/Richland County line to the SR 13 exit. Work will progress in both zones simultaneously. The project is expected to be complete in October.

State Route 603
SR 603, between Pleasant Valley Road and SR 95, is closed for a maintenance repair project on a retaining wall. The detour route for motorists headed northbound on SR 603 will travel east on SR 95 to SR 39, northwest on SR 39 to SR 603, and reverse for southbound motorists. The road is expected to reopen on Thursday, May 28.
