The Mansfield City Parks and Recreation Department has been consistently offering creative, family-friendly events designed to draw the public into the local parks. The following are being offered during the remainder of December, both of which are being held at North Lake Park:

December 12 (Thursday) from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM: In conjunction with Ocie Hill Neighborhood Center, the Parks and Recreation Department is offering a kid-friendly class is being offered for children to make a fused glass Christmas ornament for the holidays. In order to ensure that enough supplies are available, the Parks and Recreation Department requests pre-registration. Please call 419-755-9856 to sign up. Leave a message with your name, phone number, how many people will be coming with you & the name of the class you are signing up to attend.

December 20 (Friday) from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM: Community Christmas party at the pavilion in North Lake Park. Entertainment will be provided by DJ Nyte Flyte. Christmas games and crafts will be available for children, in addition to an outdoor petting zoo. There will also be food and gifts. Best of all, everyone is encouraged to wear their Christmas pajamas for a cozy, comfy community party.
