The Renaissance Performing Arts Association will present the musical At Last: An Evening with Etta James on Saturday, June 27 at 7:30 PM following the Renaissance Rock ‘n’ Roll Car Festival. This presentation of At Last: An Evening with Etta James is sponsored by Richland County Foundation.

The performance will take place outdoors on the Renaissance property, and audience members should plan to bring their own chairs and follow appropriate social distancing measures. In the event that gatherings are still restricted at the time of the performance, the production will be presented as a drive-in event with the performance broadcast on an FM station.

Premiered in January 2020 in Theatre 166, At Last: An Evening with Etta James was a sold-out hit for writer and director, Michael Thomas, and Condrea Webber who portrayed Etta James. This original musical tells the tumultuous life story of the legendary singer through the songs that she made great. In addition, Alice Bond (piano), Ed Jonet (Saxophone), and Rollie Harper (Drums) of The Etta James Trio will provide live accompaniment.

Tickets are free, but required, and can be reserved through the Renaissance website, www.RenTickets.org.
