Dr. James Jones III will be the speaker for the upcoming AALI Speaks event on Monday, May 13 from 12-1:30 PM. He will talk about racial inequality and how it impacts communities, especially boys of color.

With Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in African & African American Studies and a Master’s and PhD in History, Dr. Jones brings an incredible wealth of knowledge to the table.

His professional experience includes, but is certainly not limited to, being part of the African American Male Research Symposium, Texas African-American Heritage Organization, Inc., and Black Male Leadership Retreat (all University of Texas at Austin) and the Introduction to African-American Studies Research Symposium (University of Houston).

He also has an incredibly rich research background, which includes papers on the contemporary role of historically black colleges and universities, the viewpoints of W.E.B. Du Bois and Booker T. Washington, the demise of hip-hop culture, the legacy of Black Power, the revolutionary years of the Black Panther party, and much more.

Guided by this professional and academic experience, he will discuss how racial inequality impacts communities, especially boys of color. These are topics that no matter who you are, simply cannot be ignored.

If you want to hear a perspective on race and the state of African Americans that is backed by years of academic and professional experience, you can’t miss AALI Speaks with Dr. James Jones III. Make sure to join us on Monday, May 13 from 12-1:30 PM. The event will be at NECIC, 134 N Main St, Mansfield 44902.
