Nonprofit agencies who provide safe, fun-filled activities for Richland County children during the summer months can apply for a grant to help fund their programs. Grants up to $2,500 are available through the Richland County Foundation’s Summertime Kids Grant.

Any 501c3 public charity or government entity and some churches offering programming to youth during the summer months are eligible to apply. If you are unsure of your status, contact the Foundation to inquire. Churches serving only their own congregations, vacation bible schools and summer schools are not eligible.

Note that the grant dollars are to be used for expenses related directly to the program being offered. Regular staffing, operational costs or occupancy costs are not covered by this grant.

Electronic applications are available online at rcfoundation.org. The completed proposals must be received in the Foundation office by the second Friday in February; for 2020, that makes the deadline February 14. Grant funding will be announced in March via a phone call.

The Richland County Foundation is ready and willing to provide grant writing assistance to those who need help. For assistance with the grant process, contact Siera Marth by phone at 419-525-3020 or via email at [email protected] to schedule an initial meeting.

Send us your news — of an announcement, event,
club news, fundraiser – whatever! It’s easy to do online.
