On Friday, July 26, the United States Marshal’s Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Taskforce (NOVFTF) located Tremayne E. James (B/M, 36 YOA) at a motel in Columbus. Mr. James was wanted on two felony warrants, one in reference to a “Felonious Assault” warrant (F-1) out of the Mansfield Division of Police and the other a felony parole violation warrant out of the state of Alabama for distribution of drugs.

The Felonious Assault warrant was issued in reference to an incident that occurred on July 17 at 140 Wood Street in Mansfield. While speaking with an officer in reference to a vehicle complaint, Mr. James was found to have the above-mentioned active felony warrant out of Andalusia County, Alabama for a parole violation for “Distribution of Drugs” with a nationwide pickup.

When the officer attempted to take him into custody on the outstanding warrant, Mr. James assaulted the officer and fled on foot. The officer gave chase and another struggle ensued, but Mr. James was able to successfully flee on foot and could not be located.
