As the residents of Mansfield and the surrounding area brace for another week, the weather forecast promises a mix of sun, rain, and snow. With fluctuating temperatures and varying chances of precipitation, the community is advised to keep their wardrobes versatile and their plans flexible. Here’s what you can expect from the skies above in the coming days.

Chilly Nights and Sunny Days Ahead

The week kicks off with a mostly cloudy night, setting the tone for a series of chilly evenings. Temperatures are expected to dip to around 28°F, accompanied by a gentle north wind moving at 3 to 7 mph. However, the gloom won’t last long as Monday promises to bring some respite with mostly sunny skies and a comfortable high near 44°F. The northeast wind around 7 mph will add a crisp feel to the air, perfect for outdoor activities.

Midweek Weather Shifts

By Monday night, the weather takes a turn as the forecast hints at a possible mix of rain and snow. With a 60% chance of precipitation and new snow accumulation of less than one inch, the night could see the first signs of a wintry mix. This trend continues into Tuesday, with a 30% chance of snow showers before 7:00 AM and new snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. The day will remain mostly cloudy with a high near 36°F, while the northwest wind picks up speed, blowing at 13 to 18 mph.

Wednesday offers a brief respite with mostly sunny skies and a high near 38°F, but by Thursday, showers are likely after 8:00 AM. The chance of precipitation jumps to 70%, signaling a wet day ahead. The weather rollercoaster doesn’t stop there, as Thursday night could see a mix of rain and snow showers, followed by a 70% chance of precipitation.

Closing the Week with Uncertainty

The forecast for Friday and the weekend remains uncertain, with a mix of cloudy skies, chances of snow showers, and partly sunny days. Friday’s high hovers around 36°F, with a 30% chance of snow showers before 8:00 AM. The pattern of snow showers and mostly cloudy skies continues into the weekend, with Saturday’s high near 33°F and a 40% chance of snow showers.

As we move into Sunday, the skies clear up somewhat, offering mostly sunny conditions and a high near 36°F, providing a gentle close to a week of weather whims.
