On Saturday, August 12, 2023, the community is invited to participate in a remarkable celebration of healthcare, unity, and physical fitness as Avita Health System presents the 12th Annual Moving Hearts & Soles 5k Run/Walk, One Mile Walk, and Kid Runs.
A Tradition of Giving Back
Moving Hearts & Soles is not merely a run or a walk. It is an extraordinary day that offers an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the healthcare services within the local region.
10 Years of Impactful Fundraising
In the last decade, Moving Hearts & Soles, with support from the Avita Health Foundation, has raised more than $50,000. These funds have been allocated to two key initiatives: the Dr. Theodore Ebner Allied Health and Employee Scholarship Programs. This year, there’s an added objective, as a portion of the proceeds will also support designated clinical programs.
Kathy, a beneficiary of one of the scholarship programs, expressed her gratitude: “The support from the Moving Hearts & Soles event has been instrumental in my education. I’m now able to pursue my dreams in healthcare, thanks to this community’s generosity.”
A Day to Impact Lives
Those who participate in the run, walk, or enjoy watching their children have fun can truly make a difference. It’s a day where community members can contribute to enhancing the lives of patients and students while bringing more awareness to the quality healthcare Avita Health System provides.
