An intriguing event is set to take place this October. “A Field Of Monsters Symposium” seeks not only to captivate its attendees with vivid illustrations and imaginative tales, but also aims to create and open doorways within the community.

The symposium is a free community discussion that promises to be as enlightening as it is entertaining. Scheduled for Friday, October 13 from 7 PM to 9:30 PM, the venue is the Mansfield Playhouse located at 95 E 3rd Street in downtown Mansfield. For those eager to reserve their spot or have any questions, they can reach out at (419) 512-9225.

This year’s lineup of speakers is an impressive one:

  • Dr. Danielle Kelley: The Director of Cypress High School, Dr. Kelley is known for her dedication to education and her continuous efforts to enhance the learning experience.
  • David Kendrick: An LISW-S License Therapist, David brings a unique perspective to the table with his in-depth knowledge of mental health and community wellbeing.
  • Alan Mitchell: As an Entrepreneur and NEIC Advisor, Alan has a keen understanding of the local business landscape and the challenges and opportunities it presents.
  • Jennifer Enskat: The Director of Leapyear Studios, Jennifer’s contributions to the arts and entertainment sectors are unparalleled.
  • Chris Hershberger: As the CEO of BlackBelt Pro Fitness, Chris stands as a testament to the importance of health and wellness in community building.

The event is a proud collaboration with The Ohio State University, NECIC, RCDG Art Studio, and Richland County Public Library. It underscores the essence of community partnership and shared goals.

Central to this year’s symposium is the theme of “Doors and how they act as opportunities”. The idea is to explore how the community can open doors for others and the avenues these opportunities create. Each speaker was meticulously chosen because of the distinct opportunities they have been instrumental in creating every day.

For those who wish to continue the dialogue and network further, there’s good news. The discussions will carry on at the Phoenix Brewery, offering a relaxed atmosphere to reflect on the evening’s insights.
