Mansfield and Richland County have a long history of producing classically-trained musicians and supporting musical institutions, from the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra to arts programs in local schools.

One long-time repository of local musical tradition is in the number and quality of musical ensembles that enhance the area’s faith communities.

One such location is the First Congregational Church, a religious landmark located at 640 Millsboro Road, and which houses a congregation dating back to 1833. First Congregational has long been home to an outstanding church choir and music program.

As one feature of the program, the church offers a free online audio and video selection of performances taking place in its sanctuary. The selection includes works by the choir and local musicians, as well as guest groups such as the Heidelberg University Choir.

These recordings can be watched and listened to at this location online.
