After last year’s success, Idea Works is back with the second edition of Startup Weekend Mansfield. This event is organized with the group Techstars Startup Weekend.

Entrepreneurs, designers, college students, experienced managers – everyone is welcome. The background of attendees is roughly 50% technical (developers, coders, designers) and 50% business (marketing, finance, law). Whether you are a serial entrepreneur or new to the startup scene, if you motivated to build a product or startup and open to new ideas
you’ll fit right in.

The weekend includes time to pitch your idea at least once, and receive support, encouragement and feedback. The following preparation is suggested:

  • Do some research. Market research and background information will give you a better understanding of the problem you are trying to solve.
  • Practice your pitch. You’ll have 60 seconds to persuade other attendees to join your team. Make it clear, concise, and convincing!
  • Get familiar with our tools for the weekend, head over to startupweekend.org/resources
  • Get some rest so you will be ready to go for the whole 3 day event.

The event is scheduled for January 17 – 19. To learn more about it and how to register, visit the website here.

Send us your news — of an announcement, event,
