On Friday afternoon, a posting was placed on national classified advertisement website craigslist with a significant downtown Mansfield structure on offer.

For sale through Re/Max First Realty, the Walnut Building at the corner of Third and Walnut Street is described as follows:

” Beautiful income-producing L-shaped building with multi-tenant capacity, with elevator access for each floor. Conveniently located on a corner lot, with downtown access to many businesses including courthouse, city/county buildings, banks, main post office, churches, restaurants, and salons. Minutes to SR 13 and SR 30.”

According to the advertisement, The Walnut Building was built about 1927 as the Freundlich Department Store and was later the home of retailer Montgomery Ward.

The price tag is some $975,000.
