A statewide traveling exhibition of outstanding watercolor artists in Ohio will be making its way to the Mansfield Art Center later this month.

Called “Watercolor Ohio 2017,” it showcases examples from individual artists which were judged by noted artist Mary Whyte, Gold Medal winner from the Portrait Society of America. According to Whyte, the chosen works “represent some of the finest watercolor being done in this country today.”

Some 39 paintings will be on display at the Mansfield Art Center, including all of the award winners during the juried competition. The group has already been shown in Columbus, Sidney, and Van Wert; after Mansfield, it heads to Findlay, Troy, Piqua, and Maumee.

Watercolor Ohio 2017 opened on January 20 and run through February 25.
