This past week, the Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) approved a request made by Black Fork Wind Energy LLC to modify a previously issued certificate for the Black Form Wind Farm.

The modification would allow the use of the Vestas V110 turbine model with a 2.2 MW capacity with the same physical dimensions as the previously approved Vestas V110 turbine model with a 2.0 MW capacity.

The Black Fork Wind Farm, planned for construction in Crawford and Richland counties, was authorized by the OPSB in 2012.

A review of the progress of the wind farm, in terms of applications made and approved by the OPSB, can be found in this document (click to access).

Data associated with the larger capacity turbine can be found at this location online.
