This past week, the brightly colored IHOP signs appeared at their new building, nearing completion at 2190 Walker Lake Road in Ontario. The restaurant is located to the west of the second entrance to the Meijer-anchored shopping area, roughly across the street from Starbucks.

IHOP, the initials for which originally stood for “International House of Pancakes,” is a “breakfast-focused” eatery with over 1,600 locations in the United States, Latin America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Canada, and elsewhere. Currently, the nearest IHOP locations to Mansfield are in Westerville to the south, and Elyria to the north.

Company officials have announced that the local IHOP will open on July 17. Like most of its restaurants, the local IHOP will be open 24 hours a day. It is slated to employ 30 people.

Photos of the interior of the new restaurant were posted this past week by Blue Stone Construction LLC, and can be seen below.
