Ohio Governor Mike DeWine recently made the following appointments:

C. Daniel Bradford of Mansfield has been reappointed to the Rare Disease Advisory Council for a term beginning May 26, 2023 and ending April 22, 2025.

The Ohio Rare Disease Advisory Council (ORDAC) consists of 31 members appointed by the Governor, the Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives, and the President of the Ohio Senate. The statutory purpose of this group is “to advise the general assembly regarding research, diagnosis, and treatment efforts related to rare diseases across the state.”

Mark C. Adams of Bellville has been appointed to the Ohio Standardbred Development Commission for a term beginning July 1, 2023 and ending June 30, 2027.

The Commission controls the Ohio standardbred development fund in the Ohio Treasury, which consists of moneys paid into it pursuant to section 3769.08 of the Revised Code and any fees assessed for or on behalf of the Ohio sires stakes races. Moneys to the credit of the fund shall be distributed on order of the state racing commission with the approval of the Ohio standardbred development commission.
