Of the many places in Richland County that will be celebrating all things Irish this St. Patrick’s Day, few will take place in as unique a setting as the Olivesburg General Store.
The store is cordially inviting one and all to its St. Patrick’s Day celebration on March 18, when Two Cents Off will be performing at 6 PM and Irish Stew will be joining the regular menu for the occasion.
This is not a ticketed event but reservations are suggested. Call (419) 289-7548 today to reserve your table.
The Olivesburg General Store was founded more than a century and a half ago, in 1840, to provide basic necessities for the survival of early Richland County residents. It is tied for the oldest operating general store in Ohio
The store boasts of having the same atmosphere as the “Good’ Ole Days.” Enjoy a hand dipped ice cream cone from the ice-cream bar while shopping for gifts, olde tyme candies, kitchen gadgets, collectibles, and 700+ cookie cutters. The store also includes a deli that serves cheese from the Amish and fresh made to order sandwiches.
The store is at 4778 OH 545, just nine miles north of the Reformatory.
