Recently released population estimates from the US Census Bureau indicate that Ohio is growing, not shrinking.

Just by a fraction, however.

Figures show that the Buckeye State gained 9,000 people in the period between July 1, 2015 and July 1, 2016. That represents a population growth rate of just .07 percent, and continues to place Ohio as the 7th most populous state.

Again, just. The population increases in the state in 8th place, Georgia, are such that Ohio may lose its position when the official 2020 census is taken. That state gained 110,973 residents in the same period.
