The latest numbers for reported cases of COVID among Richland County schools were shared by the Ohio Department of Health on Thursday.

Those figures show a sizable decrease in case levels for both students and staff. In a similar fashion, the number of cases reported in the county’s long-term care facilities (nursing homes, assisted living centers) remained low.

As shared on Thursday, there were 173 positive COVID test results reported on September 30, as compared to 267 reported the previous week, and 279 earlier in the month. This overall figure included 149 students and 24 staff members in 16 districts or buildings — one more than the previous week.

  • Discovery School – 1 student,1 staff
  • Foundation Academy – 1 student, 1 staff
  • Lexington – 10 students
  • Lucas – 21 students, 2 staff
  • Madison –  22 students, 3 staff
  • Mansfield Christian – 14 students, 6 staff
  • Mansfield City – 44 students, 5 staff
  • Ontario – 6 students, 1 staff
  • Pioneer – 6 students, 2 staff
  • Plymouth-Shiloh – 3 students, 1 staff
  • Shelby – 9 students, 2 staff
  • St. Mary – 1 student
  • St. Peter Junior/High – 1 student
  • St. Peter – 1 student
  • Richland School of Academic Arts – 1 staff 

As for congregate facilities, the number of COVID infections remained very low and relatively stable over the last two weeks. Current reported numbers for Richland County are as follows:

  • Country Meadow: 1 staff
  • Crystal Clear Center – 2 staff
  • Lex Court – 1 staff
  • Waterford 2 residents
