Little Buckeye Children’s Museum needs your help by voting for them to receive a $25,000 grant from State Farm® to help improve the community.

Starting August 18 at 12:00 AM ET, U.S. residents who are 18 and older with a valid email address can vote for their favorite cause by going to littlebuckeye.org and clicking on the “Vote” button on their landing page. Voters can also go directly to Little Buckeye’s State Farm page at www.NeighborhoodAssist.com/entry/2039038 and vote.

Little Buckeye Children’s Museum has until August 27 at 11:59 PM ET to rally votes. Voters are allowed to vote up to 10 times per day. On September 29, the top 40 vote-receiving causes will be announced at www.neighborhoodassist.com and a $25,000 grant will be awarded to each of the affiliated nonprofits.

Little Buckeye Children’s Museum was selected as a Top 200 Finalist in the State Farm Neighborhood Assist Grant for their award-winning Buckeye Bag Program. This program provides underprivileged children with opportunities to learn and play by providing them with bags filled with toys and supplies. Also included is an activity guide for caregivers filled with ideas for how to use the items in the bag for educational fun. This cause, which the Museum submitted before their reopening in mid-June of this year, allows children to continue to learn and play from the safety of their homes and empowers caregivers to guide their children’s learning.

The $25,000 Neighborhood Assist grant would allow the Museum to serve over 2,000 in-need children in our community at no cost to the families. This grant will have a direct impact on the social, emotional, and educational well-being of thousands of our community’s children by providing them with fun, safe, and educational activities that ensure that their growth and development are not dramatically impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis.

“We see Buckeye Bags as an investment in our children, and thus, the future of our community,” says Fred Boll, Executive Director.

State Farm Neighborhood Assist is a crowd-sourced philanthropic initiative that empowers communities to identify issues in their neighborhoods. The State Farm Review Committee selected the top 200 finalists from 2,000 submissions nationwide.
