At least that’s we thought around here when we saw the forecast for a mid-April snowfall in north central Ohio.

It pays to be vigilant about the weather, however, so we’re sharing with you the latest update from the National Weather Service office in Cleveland.

In a nutshell, it goes like this — Widespread snowfall is expected across the region on Tuesday night into Wednesday. Accumulating snow may be possible into Wednesday morning which could impact the morning commute.

Here’s what that looks like in specific terms:

Tuesday: A slight chance of showers before 10am, then a slight chance of showers after 4 PM. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 45. West wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tuesday night: A chance of rain showers before 9pm, then rain and snow showers between 9 PM and 2 AM, then snow showers after 2 AM. Low around 32. North wind 11 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Wednesday: Snow showers likely before 3 PM, then a chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. Northwest wind 11 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Wednesday night: A chance of rain and snow showers before 8 PM, then a slight chance of snow showers between 8 PM and 2 AM. Widespread frost after 3am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 24. West wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Thursday: Widespread frost before 10 AM. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 48.

Thursday night: Widespread frost, mainly after 2 AM. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 32.

Friday: Widespread frost, mainly before 8 AM. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 58.
