On Monday, officials from Emerson Automation Solutions joined officials from the Richland Area Chamber and Economic Development for a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The 23,000 square foot expansion of Emerson’s operations on Park Avenue West in Ontario will bring an increase of nearly a million dollars in annual payroll.
The expansion will accommodate a new product line designed, engineered and manufactured at the Richland County plant and growth of the legacy business. With this opportunity, Emerson plans to hire 20 new employees while retaining its current workforce of 174.
Emerson’s growth is being driven by the development of a new technology, the Electro-Hydraulic Operator, which uses digital controls and communications to provide remote emergency shutoff and other advanced diagnostics, alarms and automation to a variety of process industry end-users.
During the company’s groundbreaking, Dave Schneider, President, shared, “This site is a flagship operation within Emerson and a vital component in our objective to continue our leadership in valve automation around the world. This expansion will support our world-class team in their efforts to enhance the overall customer experience and continue to deliver value to our shareholders.”
