The Richland County Foundation has announced its college and trade school scholarship applications for the 2020-21 school year, now available online on the Richland County Foundation wbsite.

New applicants and high school seniors must have at least a 2.5-grade point average (GPA), college students and returning applicants must have at least a 2.0 GPA, attend an accredited school on a full-time basis and be a resident or high school graduate of Richland County. The deadline for college scholarship applications is April 1.

Trade school programs should be at least 600 hours. Trade school scholarships deadline is December 31, 2020.

These are not recurring scholarships so students must re-apply each year. College and trade school scholarships are based on financial need.

In addition, the Mansfield Aviation Club (MAC), a not-for-profit 501c3, will award a $1,000 scholarship to help people learn how to fly. To be eligible applicants must be a United States citizen, live in Richland County or a contiguous county, be at least 16 years of age and hold a current FAA Student Pilot Certificate by April 1.
