Little Buckeye Children’s Museum has announced the debut of its newest traveling exhibit for children, and this one is all about trains.

Funded with generous support from The Shelby Foundation, the new exhibit was recently unveiled at the Marvin Memorial Library in Shelby in their children’s department.

The Shelby Foundation Traveling Train Exhibit consists of a 3-piece custom train table complete with multiple train sets that children can put together and re-arrange as they would like. The exhibit is custom-built to a child-friendly height and is completely ADA-accessible. The display also includes a train conductor vest and a selection of trained-themed children’s books, selected by staff at the Marvin Memorial Library.

In this hands-on exhibit, children can learn about trains and locomotion, things that are big part of our community’s history. Children are also encouraged with a new and interactive way to explore their favorite books.

Little Buckeye Children’s Museum is proud to provide children and families with the power of play every day. With over 30 interactive exhibits, Little Buckeye Children’s Museum invites children to use their imagination to create fun and unique experiences every time they come to the museum, or when they visit a travelling exhibit.
