Here’s a good opportunity to answer that very question.

The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Envioronmental Sciences is hosting “Wildlife in Your Woods,” a workshop on identifying, attracting, and managing woodland wildlife including birds, mammals, reptiles, and amphibians.

Spend the day learning about the birds, amphibians, and mammals making your woods their home. Learn how to attract a variety of these species to your woodlot with proper management, and also how to monitor their presence.

This class will have both indoor and outdoor sessions.

The OSU Mansfield campus is diverse with vernal pools, mature woodlands, pollinator habitat, and more. The workshop will be visiting many of these spaces so please dress accordingly.

Wildlife in Your Woods takes place from 9 AM to 3 PM at 35 Ovalwood Hall, 1760 University Drive on the campus of OSUM.

Registration is $40; which includes lunch and materials, and must be done by August 9. Additional details and registration are available here.
