Working with the natural environment can be challenging in many respects.
On August 2, one aspect of that interface – that dealing with diagnosing what might be happening with that sickly looking tree – will be the subject of a workshop at The Ohio State University at Mansfield. “Tree Diagnostics” is being presented by the OSU College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.
There is a process to follow in diagnosing tree ailments – questions to ask yourself and a landowner – that will lead you either to an answer or to other sources to explore further. Part of the workshop will include an update on the non-native insects impacting Ohio’s treets and introduce Ohio’s new invasive plant law.
The workshop will expose the attendee to a wide variety of tree issues that are currently on the radar and talk about what has been going on with our trees this summer season.
ISA and pesticide credits have been applied for.
Tree Diagnostics will take place between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Registration must take place by Friday, July 26, the cost of which is $40 for the workshop, lunch, and materials for the day. You can do so at this location online.
