The City of Mansfield has set out to look at options for the future of its city parks. As a part of that process, it has set out to obtain views and comments from citizens as it creates a park system master plan.

Such a master plan will enable the identification of long-term directions for the parks, the services each offers, and ways to create a sustainable park system that prioritizes projects in a cost effective manner.

There will be two opportunities to share your views on this topic.

First is a park survey which is being conducted online through June 8. Information from this survey will be used to assess and provide necessary tools to being making recommendation for the future direction of the park system.

You can take the park survey at this location online.

Second, a Focus Group Meeting has been set for Thursday, June 27 at 7 PM at the North Lake Park Pavilion. There, you can share your views in person.

Send us your news — of an announcement, event,
club news, fundraiser – whatever! It’s easy to do online.
