The sights, sounds, and shopping of the season have been going on for several days, but for many this is the official launch of the Christmas season.

Tonight brings the official Christmas Tree lighting at Richland Carrousel Park as Christmas Time In The City continues.

Festivities begin at 5:00 PM and run until 9:00 PM, with the lighting of the official 50 foot Christmas Tree at 6:00 PM. Enjoy live reindeer, photos with Santa, Christmas caroling, light displays, and more.

After the tree lighting, guests can visit the Tiny Tim Shoppe at 128 N. Main Street. Downtown businesses will be open late for the December Shop Hop and will have special events, including entertainment and holiday deals!

Christmas Time In the City is sponsored by Downtown Mansfield, Inc., City Center, and Nationwide Childrens Hospital. Scenes from last year’s lighting can be seen below; click on any for a larger version.
