Great Reasons To Support The OSUM Student Life Support Fund

When students get involved in extracurricular activities, they are able to make connections with other students and the community. Through these experiences, they can improve their leadership and job skills, make lifelong friends, learn about the world, and give back to others.

At The Ohio State University at Mansfield, students have the chance to take part in service projects, leadership building activities, and other programs and events outside of the classroom. The OSU Mansfield Student Life Support Fund helps to finance these programs and provide aid to struggling students throughout the year. More…

Lexington Students Honor Area First Responders On 9/11

On Tuesday, in remembrance of the events 17 years ago on 9/11 and the bravery that was displayed by first responders, Lexington Central Elementary fourth graders made lunches, wrote thank you notes, and delivered them to 50 local fire fighters, police, and state highway patrol troopers.

The fourth graders wrote notes of appreciation, decorated lunch bags and delivered the lunches to the Richland County State Highway Patrol, Galion and Ontario Police and Fire Departments, as well as Lexington Police Department and Troy Township Rescue Squad.

Foundation Awards Over $1.3 Million To Area Nonprofits

The Richland County Foundation Board of Trustees approved grants totaling $1,382,549 during its February meeting.

A grant was awarded from the unrestricted/community fund to the Richland Community Development Group for its Be Focal Buy Local, Bellville Beautification and Development and Mansfield Area Beautification Community Sectors.    More…
