The Shelby Whippets dominated the 2022 MOAC Cross Country Championships Saturday, held at Amann’s Reservoir in Galion.
Both the Boys and Girls teams took the MOAC Championship trophy, and also had the fastest finisher in both races. In the Boys contest, Shelby runners finished 1-2-3.
In the Girls meet, Ontario finished in fourth place and Clear Fork ended in seventh place. The following Richland County runners finished in the top 20:

- 3rd place – Emma Montgomery – Sophomore – Shelby
- 7th place – Chnnon Cundiff – Junior – Shelby – 7
- 12th place – Kaylin Mahon – Sophomore – Shelby
- 13th place – Claire Blubaugh – Senior – Clear Fork
- 16th place – Kailyn Schwall – Junior – Shelby
- 18th place – Courtney Stiving – Sophomore
- 19th place – Kenzie Goodlin – Ninth Grade – Ontario
For the Boys, Ontario finished in fourth place and Clear Fork ended in sixth place. The following Richland County runners finished in the top 20:
