Interested in all things ghost-related? You’re in luck, as many of Ohio’s historic attractions have reopened, and that includes many place where guests can attempt to experience the paranormal.

Mansfield is, after all, home to what is likely the top such attraction in the Midwest — the Ohio State Reformatory. The fine folks at OSR have been adding events back to their lineup, and that now includes the opportunity to share in a Public Ghost Walk.

In their words, “Let our guides fill you with storeis of hauntings and horrors as they lead you through the prison in the dark.”

Public Ghost Hunts take two hour — either from 8 to 10 PM, or from 10:30 PM to 12:30 AM for some “extra chills.” Registration begins one hour before each tour departs.

These events will be taking place on July17, and August 7, 21, and 28.

Note that participants must be 13 years gold. Guests 18 and older MUST bring a valid photo ID. Guests 13-17 years old MUST provide a photo ID or proof of age, like a birth certificate (this can be scanned or photographed) or a grade card. Guests who fail to provide photo ID or proof of age may be denied entry.

There may be health and safety measures in place; for more information, contact OSR at (419) 522-2644 or via email at: [email protected]. Tickets may be purchased online here.
