The Ramble Inn, a beloved local dining spot, is back and ready to serve the Madison Schools community and the public. After being exclusively open to teachers, students, and senior citizens during luncheons, the Ramble Inn is now welcoming everyone to enjoy its brunch offerings.

New Opening Schedule

Starting this week, the Ramble Inn will be open on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM. This provides ample opportunities for community members to savor the culinary delights prepared by Madison’s own culinary arts students.

A Culinary Arts Program with a Difference

Madison’s Culinary Arts program is at the heart of the Ramble Inn’s operation. This 2-year program is designed to equip junior and senior high school students with the skills needed to excel in the culinary field. Students undergo comprehensive training, including mastering knife skills, honing various cooking techniques, learning menu planning, understanding plate pricing, nutrition, and maintaining proper sanitation standards.

Learning Environment

The program is structured to provide a balanced learning environment that combines classroom theory with hands-on experience in a lab kitchen. In the classroom, students delve into various aspects of the Food Service and Lodging industries. Key topics include food safety, cuisine, preparation, management, and nutrition.

Common Grounds Coffee Bar

Exciting news awaits as the culinary class is also offering a coffee bar named Common Grounds. This venture allows students to gain valuable experience in running a real-life business, from inception to operation. It’s an opportunity to learn the ins and outs of entrepreneurship and customer service, all within the confines of their own school.

So join us at the Ramble Inn every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM to support Madison’s talented culinary students and enjoy a delicious meal. Remember to enter from the east side of the building, where you will be warmly greeted. A menu is below.
