The deadline for write-in candidates to file for the May 3 Primary Election has come and gone, and the full slate of contented races has now been set, according to the Richland County Board of Elections.

In Mansfield, contested races include those for the Republican nomination as Mayor; the Republican nomination for Director of Finance; the Democratic nomination for Director of Lawl and the Democratic nomination for the Fourth Ward Council seat between two write-in candidates.

The latter race will be decided by which write-in candidate receives the most votes, if one candidate receives at least 25 votes.

The other contested primary race in Richland County is the contest for the Democratic nomination for Second Ward in Ontario.

Here are the individuals with valid petitions vying in the above races. In the two races marked with an asterisk, there are no candidates in the other, meaning the primary winner will be running unopposed in November.
