Door-to-Door Solicitations. David Remy, Mansfield Public Works Director, has issued a press release advising that the City has received a number of call over the past week regarding individuals going door-to-door and indicating that they work for Direct Energy. These individuals are stating that they are working with the City to check individual resident’s natural gas and electric rates.

As the fourth Democratic debate nears at nearby Otterbein University in Westerville, the New York Times published a story on Saturday that looks at how Ohio’s economy is faring. To answer that question, the Times chose a representative city on which to focus much of its article. They chose Mansfield.
The City of Mansfield has absolutely no connection to or with these individuals or a company portraying itself as Direct Energy nor does the City have any record of these individuals receiving duly authorized permits to go door-to-door.

Water Main Repairs; North Main To Close For Four Days. Due to water main repairs the city of Mansfield has closed a section of North Main Street, between Longview Avenue and Mansfield Industrial Parkway.
The road will be closed Tuesday, October 15 at 8:00 AM and is expected to be re-opened by the end of the workday on Friday, October 18, barring any unanticipated problems. Detour signs will be posted. Traffic is advised to plan an alternate route to avoid possible delays. No vehicles will be able to pass.
