On Wednesday morning, Mansfield Police issued the following press release concerning an additional shooting taking place on Tuesday. As noted, investigators are considering the possibility that the shooting incidents are interrelated.

“The Mansfield Division of Police is investigating a second shooting incident which occurred in the 200 block of Parkway Drive last night at approximately 10:43 PM. Upon arrival, officers and emergency personnel located a 27 year old black male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound and he was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The victim was struck while outside of the residence, after several gunshots came from a passing vehicle. There are no further details to share at this time and Detectives are looking into the possibility that this incident may be related to the earlier incident on Louise Avenue.
