The Reinvention Cities Network (RCN), an initiative of the Greater Ohio Policy Center (GOPC), has announced that it will hold a roundtable event Mansfield on August 16.

This event is part of the RCN’s ongoing effort to bring together community leaders, public officials, and non-profit organizations from across the state to discuss and implement revitalization strategies for Ohio’s small legacy cities.

The Reinvention Cities Network is an initiative of the Greater Ohio Policy Center. It comprises leaders from Ohio’s 16 small legacy cities, who are working together to promote learning, share best practices, and advocate for policy goals that support the revitalization of their communities. The RCN has been a key player in advocating for policies that strengthen the state’s middle-class prosperity, despite the challenges of global economic changes and a lack of supportive state policy. The RCN has been crucial in presenting a unified vision for Ohio’s Reinvention Cities, garnering support from more than thirty organizations across various sectors.

Mansfield, the host city for the upcoming roundtable, is one of the cities in the network.

The roundtable event will be an in-person gathering from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and will include introductions, updates from GOPC and legacy cities, networking, lunch, and a walking tour of Mansfield led by local community leaders. The event is designed to encourage learning, engagement, and to showcase first-hand the ongoing revitalization work in Mansfield.

For those interested in attending, please note that there will not be a virtual option for this roundtable. More details regarding the day’s agenda will be released closer to the event. You can RSVP for the event here.
