Updated November 25: Reminder that online voting starts December 1st for this incredible opportunity to sing your favorite pop/rock song with the Mansfield Symphony!

The Mansfield Symphony announces the first ever “Bach to Rock Singing Contest,” an opportunity for local rock and pop singers to enter to win an opportunity to be a guest soloist with the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra on the March 24, 2018 “Bach to Rock” concert. The concert will feature classical repertoire mixed with contemporary rock and pop music performed by the orchestra and soloists to be determined based on the contest.

Interested singers can now submit a video of themselves singing any pop or rock song in part or in its entirety at www.mansfieldtickets.com/sing. Online voting will commence on December 1 at the same website to select the top 10 finalists, closing at the end of the day on December 31.

From the top 10 finalists chosen through online voting, three singers will be selected by the Mansfield Symphony’s artistic team to perform their song on the March concert with the Mansfield Symphony. Mansfield Symphony Music Director Octavio Más-Arocas will arrange the pieces for the orchestra. At the event, audience members will vote for their favorite performer, who will be booked again as a guest artist in the 2018-2019 season with the Symphony.

“We have a wealth of local talent in our area, and it’s a tremendous opportunity to showcase these outstanding performers with our symphony,” says Más-Arocas.

The Mansfield Symphony is presented as a part of the 2017-2018 OhioHealth Symphony Series.
