The Mansfield Art Center is gearing up for their 72nd Annual May Show, and is now on the lookout for artists.

Requirements to be considered for the exhibition include being an Ohio resident or student, and the work (there can be up to four submitted) must have been completed within the last four years and suitable for immediate hanging or display.

This is a juried art show, and this year’s judge is Tom Hale. A prolific artist from Michigan, Hale has work exhibited in private, corporate, and public settings. His website can be accessed here.

There are three dates to enter artwork – April 18, 19, and 20. The exhibition itself will run from May 6 through June 4.

Awards will include the following:

  • Best of Show – $1000
  • 4 Mechanics Banks Awards of Excellence – $250 each
  • Margaret Twitchell Swank Award for Painting – $250
  • Sid Yellen Award for Photography – $250
  • Whitten Studios Award for Ceramics – $250
  • 3 Blick Art Material Awards for Innovation – $100 gift cert./each
