Apparently the City of Mansfield had a New Year’s resolution to update and improve its online interface with citizens, businesses, visitors, and potential residents and investors.

Not just update, but to completely recreate the experience.

Joining other recent updated websites launched by Richland County and the City of Shelby, the City of Mansfield has one of its own.

Other websites updated in the last two years include those of Destination Mansfield-Richland County, Richland Area Chamber and Economic Development, Downtown Mansfield, Inc., and Richland Carrousel Park.

Still found at ci.mansfield.oh.us, the site features rotating images of local scenes . Two menus of links are available. The top menu takes site visitors to update pages for City departments and services, as well as several community links.

A calendar and news page are also included.

Tabs across the middle of the home page provide for access to online bill paying, a video virtual tour of the city, and also interfaces to report concerns and to sign up to receive alerts.

The site is built on WordPress, the world’s most popular open source content management system.
